is in the bag.
Tis event is specifcally de-

bone health, and how we ensure
your radiation levels are kept at a
minimum through advanced imag-
ing services. In addition to educa-
tion, there will be games, prizes,
food and other fun activities.
“Although the primary purpose of
Spirit Girls’ Night Out is to educate
women about the prevention of can-
cer and other chronic diseases, the
real power of this event is in women
coming together in an atmosphere
of fun and fashion to learn and
share ideas for better health,” says
Tanya Abreu, president and national
program director, Spirit of Women
Hospital Network. “It is the energiz-
ing spirit that drives these events
in communities around the United
States and encourages women to
take action for their health.”
Early detection saves lives
Aside from nonmelanoma skin
cancer, breast cancer is the most
common form of cancer in women
and claims the lives of more than
40,000 women every year in this
country, according to the Centers

Te core of Spirit Girls’ Night Out is
sharing the information that fuels
preventive action. Health educa-
